The below is my attempt to salvage various links and online resources from the violence of physical memory and poor bookmarking practices. I am hoping that it will lend a semblance of permanency to this otherwise transient online experience.

- 10 Freeware Applications to Immediately Install on a Fresh Mac | Mac Membrane:
OS X comes with a host of really excellent applications, but one of the best things about being a Mac user is the breadth and quality of third-party applications that you can install to enhance your computing experience.
Great list of apps.
(0) # - MacRabbit Blog - Going Euro:
As a Belgian business, MacRabbit has been significantly impacted by the quirkiness of the USD. Looking purely at Euro revenue, one might think CSSEdit is hardly more useful now than it was at 1.0. For the past years I’ve avoided passing along currency fluctuations to the customer while developing kick-ass products, but we’re at a level where it can’t be called a fluctuation anymore.
CSSEdit, as I have said before, is one of my favorite Mac apps, letting you preview live changes made to CSS code in a dedicated browser window. Currently, the app sells for 29.95 USD. It’s hard to blame them, though, for their decision to switch currencies and adopt Euros as the payment currency. In other words, the app’s price is going up. But you can still get CSSEdit for 30 bucks until March 26th - a great deal for international buyers. Highly recommended.
(0) # - SmartSleep:
martSleep.prefPane is a preference pane that dynamically sets the sleep state of your machine. It’s a successor to Hibernate.prefPane.
Something like this should be included on all Apple portables. It takes a long time to sleep a MacBook with 2 gigs of RAM - and I’m thinking of juicing it to 4. Used to have to do this by hand in the terminal, which is something I avoid if I can.

Type in “Hell” in the iPhone’s Weather app and first on the list is New York City
Funny. What does a search for ‘Heaven’ bring up?
(0) # - Pro-sealing rally set for St. John’s:
On a day when many animal rights groups around the world are planning protests against Canada’s seal hunt, the sealers themselves will be holding a rally of their own.
I have a Newfie friend whom I teach with who is absolutely flawless on his defense of the seal hunt. Can’t believe it, really. I’ve never met anyone who defends this, nor have any arguments supporting it sufficiently. My gut feeling is that it’s wrong. On the other hand, I don’t kill seals but I do a bunch of other things which I consider wrong, too - conscience wise, that is. I hear that a board with a spike through it is the quickest way. We should all be so lucky.
