After a year of indifference, I’m again becoming concerned with philosophy, as my life presently seems to be headed for the gutter (albeit poetically).  I should like to avoid this, though the absolute path of life cannot be chosen by its wanderer.  We shall see.

Here is a site that is calling for individuals sickened by the Burma situation to assemble a governmentally independent death squadron to invade Burma by stealth.  They are encouraged to terrorize high-ranking generals and ultimately kill them, as well as destroy the Indian and Chinese oil pipelines that compel the two giants to favor regional stability to the elimination of the militant regime. 

Apparently, with great power comes great impotence.

Normally I don’t watch too many classic films. Same goes for sci-fi. But for quite some time, this movie ranked among my favorites. Highly recommended if you’re into science, religion, drug use, insanity, evolution, anthropology or almost anything else.

The main reason for writing this short little post springs from my current readings of Antonin Artaud and his possible cultural influences, among which this movie is claimed to be. Extremely interesting views of theatre!

I like this little write up in Treehugger about Kiwi vegans who refuse to have sex with anyone not of their same persuasion. I especially like this little gem from the source article: “When you are vegan or vegetarian, you are very aware that when people eat a meaty diet, they are kind of a graveyard for animals.”

While explaining my point of view to my father over a ‘few’ beers the other night he claimed that, though he somewhat was able to grasp where I was coming from, my point of view was essentially one of extremism. I concurred.
